Spend four active days exploring the park and crafting unique and useful projects from natural materials responsibly gathered along the way. Campers will learn how to safely cut and carve using hand tools like knives and handsaws, and experiment with different processes including weaving with natural fibers and colors.
Go back in time with your scout friends and try pioneer-style crafting. Create a hand-dipped beeswax candle, rolled beeswax candle and a yarn doll. Adult leaders are free of charge and required to attend to assist scouts. $15/scout.
Learn about native mussels and their role in the river ecosystem while floating down the Mississippi and exploring the natural shoreline. Beginners are welcome. Participants will paddle and do some lifting with the team while guided by experienced naturalists. Safety equipment and shuttle provided. We will get wet during this experience, mostly just feet to knees. Bring water, sunscreen, and your sense of adventure. $35/person.

Explore the Mississippi River like few have had the chance to do. Build a raft and see if it floats. Investigate deserted islands and discover what lives in the river. Watch eagles and bike to explore different shorelines. Try canoeing or kayaking on a lake, and rafting down the Mississippi on a day-long trip. Equipment provided.
