This camp is all about wood and woodcarving! Start at the source, learning about local tree species and their structure, as well as how to sustainably harvest green (fresh) wood. Then focus on different cuts, hand grips and sharpening techniques. Spend the rest of the week working on projects such as chopsticks and butter spreaders. To give our hands a rest, we will try other outdoor skills like fire-building, shelter building and games. Basic hand strength is required (such as the ability to open a sealed jar).
