Adult Golf Lessons: Get Golf Ready 1 - Cleary Lake

New to golf? This program is perfect for adults with little or no experience who want to learn the game. Over five fun and interactive lessons, our Golf Academy teaching professionals will teach you the fundamentals, helping you build confidence and skills to start your golfing journey. You’ll cover key techniques, including putting, chipping, pitching, and the full swing, as well as basic rules and etiquette to help you feel comfortable on the course. If you have clubs, bring them along; if not, we’ll provide clubs, balls, and all the equipment you need. $150/ five lessons.


Adult Golf Lessons: Get Golf Ready 2 - Cleary Lake

This program is designed to build upon skills learned in Get Golf Ready 1 or for the golfer with some experience who wants to improve their fundamentals and basic golf skills. Lessons cover irons, driving, pitching, chipping and putting. Completion prepares participants for leagues, recreational play, and private lessons. Bring clubs if you have them, otherwise golf clubs, balls and other equipment are provided. $150/five lessons.


Adventure Camp: Cleary

Explore some of the best activities in the parks with the Outdoor Recreation School. Try stand-up paddleboarding, archery, log rolling, geocaching, canoeing and more. Enjoy new adventures while making new friends. Equipment provided.


Archery for Women: Scott County

Connect with other women while enjoying time outdoors. Join Outdoor Recreation School instructors to learn the basics of archery and elements of safety. Practice fundamental skills, participate in fun challenges and enjoy the thrill of hitting the target.


Beachy Balance Family Fun

Step into playful challenge mode with the whole family at Cleary Lake Regional Park as you test your skills on the log roll and glide across slack lines set up near the beach. This free, all-ages program builds core strength, focus and confidence through laughter-filled balance challenges by the water. The Readmobile, a library on wheels, will be present for the second half of the program with literacy activities and books to check out! Brought to you in collaboration with Family Resource Centers of Scott County, CAP Agency and Scott County Library. All ages welcome. Free.


Cleary Cup Jr. Golf Championship - Cleary Lake

Compete to become the Jr. Club Champion. Divisions are split by age and gender. Each round consists of nine holes with a shotgun start. Qualifier round is Wednesday, August 12; trophies are awarded to the lowest three scores in each division. The 20 lowest overall scores compete in the championship round on Thursday, August 13 at 8:30 a.m.; the participant with the lowest combined score over both days is Jr. Club Champion.


Curious About Camping

Curious about camping but not sure where to start? Bring the whole family out to the park for a free, hands-on outdoor adventure! Drop in and set up a tent and a hammock, start a campfire and roast marshmallows over the flames. Head out on a short geocaching hunt to discover hidden treasures around the park. This relaxed, family-friendly program is a great way to build outdoor confidence for all ages. The Readmobile, a library on wheels, will be on site with books and activities for curious minds. Family Archery: Scott County

Bring the whole family and give archery a try! Join Outdoor Recreation School instructors to learn the basics of shooting, safety and aiming in this fun, beginner-friendly session. Perfect for families and friends looking to try a new outdoor activity side-by-side. Practice fundamental skills, participate in fun challenges and enjoy the thrill of hitting the target. Equipment provided.


Family Canoe: Scott County

Get your family out on the water with instructors from the Outdoor Recreation School. We’ll learn canoeing basics including safety and paddle strokes, and then enjoy exploring the lake together. Equipment provided.


Friends & Family Log Rolling: Scott County

Rooted in the history of the logging era in the Midwest, log rolling is both safe and fun. Join the Outdoor Recreation School instructors to learn this exciting sport! Test your new skills while “competing” against other participants! No previous experience is needed. $6/person.


Grandparent Picnic & Paddleboat

Together with Club Prior, we invite grandparents and their grandchildren to picnic, play lawn games & paddleboat at Cleary Lake Regional Park. Spending time outdoors enhances wellness by enhancing physical & mental health and social connections. Please bring your own food & drink. Paddleboats will be available first come, first served for 30 minute increments.


Guided Forest Bathing

Happy Vibes Yoga Fitness Flow

A fun, yoga-inspired fitness class set to some familiar upbeat tunes to keep you motivated and moving. Feel free to sing along as you flow, stretch and move your body—no pressure, just feel-good movement with some great tunes. Bring a yoga mat or towel and be ready to have some fun! We will meet at the Cleary Lake visitor center and walk 1/2 mile to Cleary Point, a beautiful spot with water all around, perfect for energizing your body and spirit. $15/person.


Homeschool Drop-off Series: Archery Club

Join instructors from the Outdoor Recreation School to explore the sport of archery. Learn the fundamentals of archery in a safe and supportive environment. Participants will learn proper form, safety techniques, and target shooting through practice, games and challenges. Whether you are a beginner or looking to improve your skills, our club fosters confidence, patience and empowerment. No prior experience is necessary. Equipment is provided.


International Pilates Day: Pilates & Picnic

Celebrate International Pilates Day with a refreshing lakeside mat pilates class followed by a picnic at Cleary's Lakeview Picnic Shelter. Surrounded by nature on a small peninsula that attracts birds like great blue herons, egrets and even bald eagles, enjoy being among community that values human and natural wellness. Please bring a yoga mat or towel for the pilates program that will run from 6–7 p.m. From 7–8 p.m., we will enjoy grilling together for a bring-your-own picnic meal using two charcoal grills that will be ready and available for use. Please bring your own food to grill and beverages. $15/person.


Introduction to Archery Camp: South

Join Outdoor Recreation School instructors for an exciting week of precision, skill and camaraderie. Discover the world of archery by shooting a compound bow, learning range safety and developing proper techniques. Get tips to shoot proficiently from varying distances. Discover primitive hunting techniques and challenge yourself with shooting games. Equipment provided.


Introduction to Canoeing for Women

Get ready for a summer of paddling with an introduction to canoeing! Instructors from the Outdoor Recreation School will cover safety, equipment and paddle strokes. Then we’ll get out on the water to practice our skills. This is a great class for beginners or those looking to brush up on skills.


Jr. Golf Lesson League: Birdie 1 - Cleary Lake

Juniors are expected to be able to play nine holes of golf before joining this league. This league teaches basic golf skills and USGA rules and etiquette within the context of First Tee. Lessons consist of games and instruction in a group setting. No lessons or play June 29–July 5. Dates listed below are for the lessons only. League play is June 15th - August 10th. Jr. Golf Lesson League: Eagle Level - Cleary Lake

This league is for the serious junior golfer who regularly plays nine to 18 holes of golf. Tryouts will be conducted for new participants at Cleary Lake prior to league play. This travel league gives older and more competitive junior golfers an opportunity to play both nine and 18 holes of golf at local golf courses each week. Participants who don’t pass tryouts will have the option to play Cleary Lake’s nine holes on Tuesdays. No lessons or play June 29–July 5. League play is Tuesdays, June 16–August 11. Information listed below is for the lessons only. $300/eight lessons and eight course play dates.


Jr. Golf Lesson League: Par Level 2 - Cleary Lake

This league builds upon the fundamentals learned in Hooked on Golf 1. Juniors work on basic golf skills as well as the Par Level life skills. Jr. Golf Lessons: Birdie Level - Cleary Lake

Our Birdie Level lessons are designed for junior golfers who have progressed beyond the basics and are ready to take their game to the next level. Ideal for players who regularly play nine holes, have completed a Par Level lesson or its equivalent, and are dedicated to skill development. Program highlights include detailed instruction on essential aspects of the game, including putting, chipping, pitching, sand play, irons, and woods. Instructors place an emphasis on strategies and decision-making to improve performance on the course. Sessions are designed to refine technique and enhance overall gameplay, fostering confidence in each participant's abilities. This program is perfect for young golfers who are committed to developing their skills, understanding the game more deeply, and enjoying the challenge of golf. $125/five lessons.


Jr. Golf Lessons: Hooked on Golf 1 - Cleary Lake

Join us for Hooked on Golf 1 – Par Level, a comprehensive four-lesson program from First Tee Minnesota designed to make golf fun and engaging for kids. With an option to include a new starter set of golf clubs, this program offers an exciting opportunity for young golfers to learn and grow. Program highlights include golf fundamentals focused on essential golf skills, including putting, chipping and full swing techniques. Participants will receive an introduction to First Tee life skills, helping kids develop positive values such as respect, responsibility and perseverance. Each session features a 30-minute segment on golf etiquette, golf course maintenance, and environmental awareness, teaching young golfers about the broader aspects of the sport and how to appreciate the game’s setting. This program is perfect for kids ready to build their golf skills and learn valuable life lessons in a supportive and fun environment. Please know your child’s height and whether they are right or left-handed before registering. $309 with clubs; $199 without clubs.
