Join the Outdoor Recreation School to explore parks and trails by bike. Adventure 10-20 miles per day while learning bike handling skills and basic rules of the trail. Campers must bring their own multi-geared bike and a helmet each day. In the case of severe weather, this program may need to cancel for the day.
Visit the Grimm Farm Historic Site to explore the self-guided exhibits and participate in a hands-on activity at the house. Discover how Wendelin Grimm cultivated the first winter-hardy alfalfa, which fed Midwestern cattle and the dairy industry. Learn about the Grimm family and life on an 1800s farm in Minnesota. All ages welcome. Free.
Step into the past at the Grimm Farm Historic Site to learn about life on a 19th century farm. Learn about the children of the Grimm family while helping with household chores like laundry and rug beating. Help with farm chores as we grind corn and care for the animals. Churn butter and enjoy homemade ice cream as we discover the Grimm family’s contributions to Minnesota’s dairy industry. Each day of camp meets at the Grimm Farm Historic Site in Carver Park Reserve.
