50+ Adventures: Archery

Join instructors from the Outdoor Recreation School to learn fundamental skills of archery and the elements of safety. Participants will practice shooting at stationary targets, participate in challenges, play fun games and enjoy the thrill of hitting the target. Learn about equipment, brush up or improve your skills and get tips to shoot proficiently. Equipment provided.


50+ Adventures: Kicksledding

Join the Outdoor Recreation School to explore the park on a Scandinavian-style kicksled and enjoy the wonders of winter around you. Kicksledding is an activity enjoyed by all ages. If snow/ice conditions don’t allow for kicksledding, we will go on a winter hike instead. Equipment provided.


55+ Cross-country Ski & Social Club

Together with Club Prior, this once-a-month ski club is a friendly cross-country ski group that celebrates movement, wellness, nature and community during the Minnesota winter. We will meet at the Cleary Lake visitor center to ski, enjoy fresh air and connect on the trails, ending in front of the fireplace with a warm drink. Free ski rental included.


A Space Saga Story Camp: Nature is the Way

Join forces with others from around the galaxy as you join the Lowry Bounty Guild. We've been entrusted with an item that must be delivered. Everyone wants what we have. Learn about plants and animals, practice survival skills, take aim and try archery, become an expert in camouflage, hunt down clues and explore uncharted territories all while keeping an eye out for friend and foe as we race to save the day and unravel a galaxy-wide mystery. Bikes and helmets required for one day of camp.


Adapted Camp for Youth with Cognitive Disabilities

Make new friends while you explore the park. Try camp activities like kayaking, archery, fishing and geocaching, led by instructors from the Outdoor Recreation School. All equipment is provided, including adapted kayaks and archery equipment.

Adapted Mountain Bike

Join Outdoor Recreation School instructors and experience the thrill of riding a modified hand cycle mountain bike in early spring conditions. This program is entirely outdoors. Bikes provided; participants encouraged to provide their own helmet and bring a family member or friend to accompany them on foot while they bike. We ask that all participants wear a helmet, eye protection and hand protection. If you would like to bring your own, please do. If not, we will provide it.


Adapted: Every Body Can Learn Maple Syruping

Discover the world of a maple tree in spring. Participate in a traditional syruping program but with a twist: all parts will be offered in the classroom, with the option to venture outdoors to the most accessible maple tree. Identify a maple tree and try tapping tools. Experience the art of sugaring, learn how sap is boiled into syrup and sample the final product.


Adult Golf Clinics - Glen Lake

Our one-hour adult golf clinics are designed to help players of all skill levels build confidence and improve key areas of their game. Each session focuses on a specific topic—such as putting, chipping, or full swing fundamentals—providing clear instruction, simple drills, and personalized feedback. Whether you’re looking to sharpen your short game or develop a more consistent swing, these clinics offer a fun, relaxed environment to learn and improve.


Adult Golf Lessons: Get Golf Ready 1 - Cleary Lake

New to golf? This program is perfect for adults with little or no experience who want to learn the game. Over five fun and interactive lessons, our Golf Academy teaching professionals will teach you the fundamentals, helping you build confidence and skills to start your golfing journey. You’ll cover key techniques, including putting, chipping, pitching, and the full swing, as well as basic rules and etiquette to help you feel comfortable on the course. If you have clubs, bring them along; if not, we’ll provide clubs, balls, and all the equipment you need. $150/ five lessons.


Adult Golf Lessons: Get Golf Ready 2 - Cleary Lake

This program is designed to build upon skills learned in Get Golf Ready 1 or for the golfer with some experience who wants to improve their fundamentals and basic golf skills. Lessons cover irons, driving, pitching, chipping and putting. Completion prepares participants for leagues, recreational play, and private lessons. Bring clubs if you have them, otherwise golf clubs, balls and other equipment are provided. $150/five lessons.


Adult Golf: Short Game School - Baker National

Focus on putting, chipping, pitching and bunker play. Learn techniques and strategies for scoring from various positions around the green, including hitting from different lengths of grass. This is a must for those looking to lower their score! $199

PGA and LPGA professionals show you lots of ways to play by combining fun, friends and fitness. Each session focuses on the various golf skills you use while playing. (Not all of our classes make it to the course...very few do actually) Bring clubs if you have them, otherwise golf clubs, balls and other equipment are provided. $225/five lessons.


Adult Lessons: Get Golf Ready 1 - Eagle Lake

This program is for adults entering the game of golf with little or no experience. Learn everything you need to play golf in just a few lessons. PGA and LPGA professionals show you lots of ways to play by combining fun, friends and fitness. Each session focuses on the various golf skills you use while playing. In addition to learning the basics, you are guided onto the golf course to put your skills into action in a casual, friendly setting. $150/five lessons.      What to bring: Just yourself and a desire to have fun. Bring clubs if you have them, otherwise golf clubs, balls and other equipment are provided.
