Participants will practice shooting at stationary targets, participate in challenges, play fun games and enjoy the thrill of hitting the target. Enjoy the sport of mountain biking with the Outdoor Recreation School on an adapted three-wheeled mountain bike. We will ride on an accessible singletrack trail when it is open and a paved trail when the singletrack trail is closed. This program is entirely outdoors. All equipment will be provided; six adapted bikes available to choose from. Please bring a personal bike helmet, eye protection and gloves if you have them. If not, we will provide them. Reservations required. Participants ages 17 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Trained staff and volunteers will accompany riders each session on the trail. A family, friend or PCA is encouraged to be present at the start and end of the program to assist with transfers, communication or other personal needs. $30/three sessions.
Join Outdoor Recreation School instructors for an exhilarating week of precision, skill and camaraderie. Shoot long, recurve and compound bows. Develop and refine proper technique by learning the National Training System’s 11 steps to shooting. Get tips to shoot proficiently from varying distances while exploring a walk-around course and shooting from an elevated platform. Discover primitive hunting techniques and challenge yourself with shooting games. Equipment provided.
Spend your mornings learning the art of archery at the range with Outdoor Recreation School instructors. Shoot a compound bow, learn range safety and develop proper techniques while playing fun target games. In the afternoons, head to Eastman Nature Center to explore the outdoors with hands-on activities, games and adventures. From discovering local wildlife to exploring trails, each day brings a new way to connect with nature while having fun with friends.
Join the Outdoor Recreation School to explore parks and trails by bike. Adventure 10-20 miles per day while learning bike handling skills and basic rules of the trail. Campers must bring their own multi-geared bike and a helmet each day. In the case of severe weather, this program may need to cancel for the day.
Bring your date or friend for an evening of play. Spend a memorable evening together as you learn the art of archery from Outdoor Recreation School instructors in a relaxed and supportive setting. Team up with your date and test your aim through accuracy games, trick-shot stations and partner challenges. No experience needed, just bring your sense of adventure! Equipment provided. $12/person.

Whether it’s your first time shooting or you’ve tried archery before, this program is all about laughing, learning and celebrating the season together.
Discover the vital role the Métis people played in Minnesota history. This program explores Métis culture and the importance of the three rivers in the lives of Métis and Native peoples in Minnesota as part of the Big Year of Rivers. Program will be followed by a guided tour of the Pierre Bottineau home. $10/person.
