Slow down and explore the ancient art of Ikebana, Japanese flower arranging. Connect with nature in a creative, mindful way by arranging seasonal plants to create an ephemeral piece of art. In session one, we will create a special vessel with clay and handbuilding techniques designed to hold your arrangement. In session two, we will explore the foundational philosophy of simplicity and discuss the principles of Ikebana. Then we'll go out and collect materials for our final projects and wet felt flowers with wool to include in our arrangement.

All equipment will be provided.
